WESTIES TERRORISE "CLANSCOT RESORT"!
Thought we'd share with you, dear westie friends what those dear little westies can get up to if you give them half a chance!! Read on..
Having to go back for a trip to the UK, we reluctantly put our pampered pooches into Clanscot Kennels, Ellen Grove! We thought from the lap of luxury to boot camp! Well no - it's not quite as bad as that! Maxine Drew, kennel owner used to breed and show westies! Now she's a damn fine hand with Scotties! She usually only takes westies and scotties and a smattering of small dogs. Having known maxine for a looooong time I knew if anyone could cope with my three terrors - oops sorry terriers it would be her! So we left with heavy hearts thinking how sad they would be.. How wrong could we be!!
Let me share with you the "chronicles" of Wilson, Mac and Millie whilst in kennels for 4 weeks back in July 2007!!
9 July - Maxine e-mails me:
"Wilson he is one naughty dog! You are right Mr Mac is lead into all sorts of trouble by him. Today he ripped a new coat off one of the Scottie girls and ate the Velcro so it does not attach any more. He pulled a bed out and ripped up in one of the runs. He does not go well with the bags on the trampoline beds.. look like butter would not melt in his mouth, I have to close all the run doors during the day or he steals every one beds and rips up toys. The other day I left one open and I looked up and saw him running wild in the top yard throwing a toy in the air and dragging it along with Mac's help b4 I rescued it".
16 July - Maxine replies to my e-mail titled "Wilson terrorises Clanscot Resort"!
"Well Shirley you never should have written that heading because it became true this morning! The run the 2 boys was in was like a madman got loose, ripped up beds, all the water gone from the bowl,. A big one that holds about 4 litres, every drop of that was up the walls on the beds in Millie's run next door and the other 2 westies on the other side, poop trampled every where and beds all over the place, I think they had a party, I hope the beds dry out in time for tonight ! They are in the sun. I have taken Wilson up some toys to play with but he likes the forbibben ones best "!!!!!
She continues..."I should imagine as you only have a week left now there may be some remains of the beds to take home. I went and bought some new bags for the beds yesterday which I will keep under lock and keys till jaws goes home".
Finally she ends with.. "Have a lovely last week, and if anything is left of the kennels we will see you next Wednesday I think it is late in the afternoon, I have champagne ordered to come after they leave "!!
Maxine has certainly offered to have them again!! I know you may find it hard to believe! I have to say I still think butter wouldn't melt in their mouth - however as you can see whilst we were away - by heck did they play!!
By the way my guys have been to puppy school training and some obedience classes - hmm however beware of well behaved westies! See what happens when you leave them to party hard!!
