Hi there, Can anyone please let my owner know what's the best thing to use to clean my face? You see I am a white Westie but have a habit of sniffing in the garden mulch and my face hair gets stained very brown especially under my chin. When I get washed I look beautiful (if I do say so myself) but I still have the brown chin. My owner has tried blue shampoo for white dogs and Crystal Eye tear stain remover but it hasn't really worked? Any suggestions for a Vain Westie?

OUR WESTIES

Hello Beverly, We have an 11 year old Westie who needs a little help at present. How do I contact you about your products and find out more about diet? With best wishes, Page.

white westie

Hello My husband and I are new to brisbane and have recently rescued Maggie a gorgeous 6 year old westie. I am a classical homeopath and own a natural remedy business for animals, NATURAPETICS. Part of our range is specifically for skin conditions, rashes, allergies, hot spots etc and the all natural shampoos and conditioners are second to none. The coat will be white, soft and glossy and completely free of fleas and ticks! We only use these products on our little girl and the results have been fantastic. When we rescued her she had been washed in malaseb and a host of other nasty toxic substances and since being under our care (along with a complete change of diet), maggie continues to be absolutely itch/rash free.......and her coat is white, white, white. The apple cider vinegar is also a great idea.....we give this to Maggie in her waterbowl daily as it will maintain correct pH balance and makes her urine alkaline..which is what we want! The long term result will also be a lot less arthritis. Hope this helps

re : Staining under the chin

Hi Bonnie Staining under the chin is caused by the saliva and food colouring in the dry-food & dog biscuits. I recommend you try putting a capful of apple cider vinegar, available from the supermarket, in the drinking water, this also helps to keep the strong urine smell in male dogs sweet and stops the browning off on the grass from female urine. Another tip is using tank water in the drinking bowl. It will take 6 months for the colouring on the beard to grow out. Another method is to make up a paste comprising calcium carbonate chalk - powder, a drop or two of low percentage peroxide and a drop of conditioner, this stops the hair from breaking. Mix in a bowl and paint the paste onto the stain with an old toothbrush, make sure you do not allow the dog to lick it , allow it to dry and brush out. Do this weekly.
