Dear Westie Lovers,
I am writing on behalf of Mac and Penny. Little paws and short attention spans make a forum post difficult to type. Firstly let me begin by telling you what I know of their plight, From a young age Mac and Penny were used as stud dog/ bitch, kept in cages, Penny was bred ( from what I know) every season untill she was 7, with little love or care shown to them, from this boredom Penny had chewed the cage wire untill almost all of her teeth have come out. Mac seems to have an aversion to feet and brooms whch gives us the impression he has been kicked and hurt by brooms in the past.
When my mother heard of these gorgeous little guys she rescued them roughly 3 years ago. When we got them home neither dog knew their name or were in any way house trained. They have come so far! Mac and Penny triggered mum's westie obsession. By January this year she had fifteen dogs in all including her fist litter (from Miss Scarlett).
Tragically, In January this year both my mother and father were killed in a car accident. Leaving behind four children aged 13 to 25 ( myself), twelve westies, a doberman, two german shepherds, two cats and a horse. Over time we have had to re home many of the dogs, as much as we would of liked to keep them all, it is simply too much. As time went by and our dog collection dwindled we held Mac and Penny back from re homing and for ourselves because they are so lovely, we thought we would like to keep them, after all, is there much difference between five dogs and seven?
As we are truly our parents children, we each have our own dog and it is becoming increasingly clear that Mac and Penny aren't recieving the love, time and attention they deserve. It is with heavy hearts that we are looking for a home for both dogs, the home must be kind, loving and able to take both dogs together. Both are de sexed, Mac is 8 and Penny is 10. They both are registered with papers. They sleep inside at night and are almost 100% house trained. They have both completed rudimentary obedience also. As far as cost goes, we would just like to cover what our mother paid which was $750 for both, We will be flexible for the right home.
Above all we are looking for the right home for these wonderful little animals. The right people. Lots of love.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. If you are interested or know someone who is please contact Victoria or Lauren on 07 54470148 or 0419150745. Thanks again.
